America in the Bible

It’s well know that America follows a model set by Rome. The comparison has been made many times. In addition to it’s political and social similarities, there are also lineage ties. America is an extension of European people. Europe and it’s people were the center of Rome. The Roman church still headquarters there.

So what’s the point about Rome? In the Bible, Rome is identified as a ruthless, brutal kingdom – especially against the people of Israel. In Daniel and Revelations it is described as a brute, destructive beast. This identity continues in Revelations 13 as the first beast described there. Although the governing head of Rome was destroyed, the spiritual head of Rome continued and eventually gained substantial influence over the European nations. Europe followed after the Roman tradition of acquire and control by force.

Rome is the first beast creature of Revelation 13.

The Bible and history align to show Europe is the continuation of the Roman Empire. The Beast who revived after receiving a deadly wound to its head. “Who was, and is not, and yet is.”

Europe is the continuation of the Roman Empire.

The government of Rome fell. The authoritative leaders of Rome ceased to exist. But a significantly influential part of Rome continued. The State Church. The Roman Church played a big part in uniting Europe and at the same time strengthening itself. The Roman Church is the woman riding on the beast in Revelation 17:3.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Don’t think the break-away denominations are better, as you continue reading in chapter 13 we find the woman riding the beast had children. These daughters are called harlots.

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Now back to Europe. The nations of Europe continued in the footsteps of Rome and the leading nations before it. That is, they would war and seize, conquer and possess.

During Europe’s great expansion in the 15th century, also known as colonialism, their ships sailed to other continents to take control of other lands and peoples. The colonizing of America is an example. The United States of America is notable because of its rapid growth rise as a world super-power. And even though it gained independence from England, the continued to have a cooperative relationship. After all, they are basically the same people, divided by the sea. The USA in essence is an image of Europe in religion, language, culture, and drive for prosperity and wealth.

If Rome/Europe is the first beast of Rev 13, then America is the second.

America fulfills the characteristics written about the second beast of Revelation 13.
